She later held senior leadership roles in state government, including over a decade as a Cabinet-level executive at the Tennessee Department of Education where she played a pivotal leadership role in shaping and implementing statewide policy, including the coordinated COVID-19 education response across multiple agencies. Her work oversaw nationally recognized initiatives that spanned early literacy, high-quality instructional materials, and high-impact tutoring, with a focus on coherence and system-wide implementation. As a Senior Vice President at BHA Strategy, she advises companies, non-profits, and philanthropies on policy development, implementation strategy, and business growth, specializing in translating policy into scalable, practical change. She lives in Nashville with her husband and three children.
