State Finance & Administration Aide Joins Nashville Public Affairs Firm BHA Strategy

Nashville, Tenn. - Today, BHA Strategy, the leading public affairs firm in Tennessee, announced the addition of Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration (F&A) Chief of Staff Trevin Ayers to the firm’s government affairs practice.

Ayers joins BHA Strategy after successfully serving in the Lee Administration since 2019. During his tenure at F&A, Ayers worked across executive branch departments and the Tennessee General Assembly to craft multi-billion dollar operating budgets. Ayers also supported major initiatives at F&A including the TennCare III waiver, billions of dollars received under the American Rescue Plan Act, the franchise & excise tax modernization, and the start of the Tennessee Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council.

“Trevin brings significant knowledge of the state budget and TennCare issues, as well as the emerging AI landscape in Tennessee,” said BHA Strategy CEO Blake Harris. “His experience working in executive branch departments and the General Assembly will significantly impact our ability to serve our clients.”

Ayers attended the University of Tennessee and lives in Murfreesboro with his wife and two sons. He will begin client service with BHA in October.
